Before You Book

Prerequisites — 10 Minutes of Prep

Get your own Anthropic API key and $5 in credits before we meet. Here is how:

In a web browser go to console.anthropic.com

Click Sign up (use any personal email)

Once logged in, click API keys in the left menu

Click Create Key, name it My Agent, click Create

A long string starting with sk-ant-api03- appears. Copy it NOW (it only shows once). Paste it into a Notepad file on your desktop called my-api-key.txt

In the same site click Billing, Add Credits, enter $5 (minimum), and confirm the purchase

Save the my-api-key.txt file somewhere easy to find and bring it to our session — we will paste it together
